Troop 411 Merit Badge information

All Scouts are eligible to participate in Merit Badge clinics, troop classes, or merit badge events. Scouts may also choose to work on a Merit Badge individually.

Here is a nice overview on how to earn a Merit Badge.  http://usscouts.org/usscouts/mb/intro.asp

This is the general format for Troop 411 Scouts.

  • Read about the merit badges offered by BSA at usscouts.org

  • Select a merit badge that interests you.

  • Get a blue card from Mr. Fox or Mrs. Baker. (Mr. Fox will try to determine if this merit badge choice is appropriate for you.)

  • Purchase or borrow the merit badge pamphlet. Read it.

  • Select a Merit Badge counselor from the troop list (contact Mrs. Baker e-mail to get this list) or from the District. Any adult who is a registered Merit Badge counselor is okay.

  • Contact your counselor and follow his/her directions about completing the merit badge.

  • When you are done, the counselor will sign the blue card. Return the two sections to Mrs. Baker. The merit badge will be awarded at the next Court of Honor.
